Japan’s Paralympic Legacy

During the time of an international research fellowship co-led with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Verity conducted a thorough evidence review on Japanese policy making for disability sport, covering media, government and interviews.

Verity examined the similarities and differences of the policy making process for disability sport between the UK (London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, from Verity’s doctorate research) and Japan (Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, the fellowship research).
